What to share in your first meeting

You don’t need to arrive with a diagnosis. Start by explaining what is happening and what you want to solve.

Read article

Before the conversation, write down three things: what worries you, how long it has been happening and what decision you need to make. A concrete example usually explains more than a list of technical terms.

Note what information you have and who prepares it. If there are reports you don’t understand, identify the question you would like answered.

During the meeting, make sure the scope, the information needed, the deliverables and the next steps are agreed. Share documents through the channel you agree on, and avoid sending confidential information in a first open message.

A first step to organise your documents

A simple structure can help you find information and share it with your team.

Read article

Start with one specific period. Group the information you have into folders your team understands: sales, purchases, bank and other supporting documents.

Use consistent names, for example: date, counterparty and document type. Keep a list of what is missing and who can get it.

Decide who adds files and who checks that they belong to the period. Keep the original versions and control who has access. Organising the documents makes review easier, but it does not replace checking their content.

Three questions to improve a recurring task

Before changing a tool, understand how your team works today.

Read article

Who does the task? Identify the person responsible and who can cover when they are not available.

What do they need to do it? Review what information they receive, where it comes from and what usually causes delays.

How do we know it was done right? Agree on what gets checked, who reviews it and where the evidence is kept. Document these points in a short guide and test whether someone else on the team can follow it.

Let’s talk about your processes
Before taking the first step

Questions you can ask with confidence.

You don’t need to master accounting to ask for help.

I don’t know much about accounting. Can I still reach out?

Yes. You can start by telling me what worries you or what decision you need to make. No technical terms needed.

My information isn’t organised yet. Where do I start?

First we identify what you have and what is missing. Depending on the project, we may need accounting reports, bank statements, invoices or other supporting documents. We will agree on what to share and how.

We already have an accountant. Can we work together?

We can set up targeted support to review information, clarify criteria or improve processes, coordinating responsibilities and access to information with your team.

Who do I contract the service with?

I currently provide my services through Global‑GAAP. The proposal and the terms of the service are formalised with the firm.

How much does it cost?

Fees depend on the scope, the information available and the work required. We define those points and present the terms before starting.

Do you work with international companies and teams?

Yes. My experience includes training teams and supporting companies with international operations, subsidiaries, branches and parent‑company reporting. Communication can be in English or Spanish, and the scope is defined for each need.

Let’s start with your question

What would you like to stop wondering about?

Tell me in your own words what is going on. You don’t need to know the name of the service or have every document ready.
